Art Deco Inspiration

This 20 ft by 40 ft drawing room is designed as an Art Deco interior with Egyptian and Neoclassical design elements. It is filled with large pieces of striking custom art work made specifically for the space; custom-upholstered furnishings in luxurious silks and velvets in pink, raspberry, cobalt blue and large-scale leopard; antique porcelain and vessels converted into custom lamps; and period-appropriate tables, chairs and chests.

The luxurious window treatments in pale pink silk were fabricated with pleats that resemble the pattern of the lotus flower found on ancient Egyptian ornamentation. The black velvet trim set in rows of three represent the 'speed line' motif common in Art Deco ornamentation.
